Recent few days, Shanghai has been hit by one of the biggest snow “storm” in the last few decades. It’s not really a “storm” but in a city where it snows maybe once every few years (and very lightly), this week is surely an anomaly. The ground accumulated tons of snow and while that caused major inconvenience in transit throughout the entire city, many people were excited to see and play with the snow. Snowmen popped up everywhere, scarves, hats, and all!
As we were walking back to our building from the canteen two days ago, we heard loud shouts and yelling coming from above. And *thump*! I got hit. There were a bunch of people on the rooftops of different buildings hurling snowballs at each other. All the buildings in Zhang Jiang Riverfront Harbor are three stories high, with the rooftop easily accessible by all the employees in each building. It was the perfect battleground! We all headed to the rooftop of our building and joined in on the battle. At first, we were hurling snowballs at each other (the NI people), but realized we were fighting the wrong people. So, we started hurling the snowballs at the people in the building next door. We had so much fun!
Just another typical day at the office…
