National Instruments Shanghai is looking to hire technical writers to join our team!

Responsibilities: Editing/rewriting/writing documentation according to company guidelines, including printed materials, electronic help, and other forms of documentation. Other responsibilities include sending documentation through review, meeting with content experts and technical communications group leaders to discuss documentation content and reports status, preparing information for publishing, evaluating industry tools and trends, and working with project managers and engineers to improve the usability of documentation.

Requirements: Bachelors Degree (prefer English or related field) with editing and writing emphasis, good desktop publishing skills, experience working with computers (both hardware and software). Candidates should also have math, science, and/or computer science experience. Prefer candidates with computer science or programming coursework; knowledge of a programming language a very strong plus. Must have strong interest in computers and technology and familiarity with typical computer documentation, both paper and electronic. Candidates should have experience in installing and configuring software and/or experience installing hardware, plus good organization skills and attention to detail.
