Wikipedia is now unblocked in China! I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Wikipedia is working again after being blocked for who-knows-how-long. The timing couldn’t have been any better as I just started a new project and have to do lots of research. Searching directly on Wikipedia is so much better and faster than using my previously mentioned Firefox hack, proxy server, or VPN-ing to our headquarters in Austin methods. The only caveat is that I have to be extremely careful about the keywords or phrases I search for. The moment I enter something sensitive like Tuhbet or Thaiwan Indepence or something like that, Wikipedia will no longer be available. Excuse the gross mispelling. I don’t want this blog to be blacklisted.
