Criteria Review Score
Design This is a simple and clean design, but nothing fancy. 4
Loading speed The default view loads immediately because only thumbnails are displayed. Browsing through the pictures in full-size, each image loading speed is okay. Each ful-size image view is an HTML page, so it doesn’t take some time to load each image, but not too slow either. 4
Number of clicks You have to click a thumbnail to view an image in full size. After that, you can click left or right to view the next image.  That’s one click for each image you want to view. 5
Browsing efficiency From the default thumbnail view, you can click on any image you want look at in full-size. Then, from the full-size view, you can click the link at the top of the page to go back to the thumbnail view. You have the choice to view any image you want, however, browsing through the images is not very efficient. 3
Image size All the images uploaded are 800×600, so from the full-size, it looks like only the portrait images are fully full-size. Landscape images are scaled down to 450×600, probably because of the way thumbnails appear on the left and right hand side. There’s a lot of wasted space in both the thumbnail view as well as the full-size view. 3
Caption Caption appears on the right of the full-size image, right beneath the next thumbnail. There’s nothing fancy about the caption but it serves its job well in describing each image. 6
Customizable The entire template is based on HTML and CSS so everything is easily customizable. 10
Embed in blogs This template does not embed well in a blog post because it’s HTML-based. You need to create a small version of the album to embed in a typical-sized post, otherwise you get scrolling windows which defeats the purpose of embedding. 2
Browser-friendly This template is fully compatible with both IE and Firefox. 10
Downloadable images Even though this template is based on HTML, right-clicking the images does not give you the option of saving the images. –

Overall

Overall, this is a simple design with nothing fancy or special about it.
