PostcardViewer template is created by Airtight Interactive This is one of my favorite templates because it’s flash-based, easy to view, and fun to navigate through the images. You can generate this slideshow using Picasa and the PostcardViewer Picasa template. The free version has limited custom-features, but the PostcardViewer Pro ($45USD) allows you to customize everything.

Design PostcardViewer is a flash-based photo template. The design is very simple. The initial view displays all the thumbnails in rows and columns. Click on a thumbnail image to zoom in to full-size, navigate through the images by using the keyboard, and click again to zoom out. This design is simple, fast, and slick. 8
Loading speed All the images load initially so the more images there are in an album, the longer the loading time. This demo album has about 15 images, so the loading time was very quick. 6
Number of clicks Once you click on a thumbnail to view an image in full-size, you can navigate through all the images by using the arrow keys on the keyboard. Click again to zoom out to the thumbnail view. Clicking is minimal if you use the arrow keys to navigate through the images. 9
Browsing efficiency Once all the images are loaded, browsing is extremely fast! Zoom in an image to full-size and navigate through all the images by using the arrow keys. 10
Image size By default, the full-size view is pretty big, covering most of the browser. You can customize both the thumbnail image size as well as the full-view image size. You can fit many thumbnails in one window if you make the thumbnail size smaller. 9
Caption There’s no caption available for this template. 1
Customizable You can customize thumbnail and full-image size in the free version. 6
Embed in blogs You can easily embed this template in blog posts and websites by using the <iframe> tag. Depending on the size of the embedded <iframe>, the images might not all fit. You will have to adjust the thumbnail/full size accordingly. 7
Browser-friendly PostcardViewer works well with both IE and Firefox. However, you need to have Adobe Flash Player installed in order to view this slideshow. 8
Downloadable images You cannot download the images from the thumbnail or full-size view. –

Overall

Overall, this is a great flash-based template, easy to scan through all the thumbnails and fun to navigate. The only thing lacking is captions.
