How fast is your Internet connection? Use Speedtest.net to test your Internet connection and see how your connection compares with the rest of the world.
When you load the Speedtest page, a map shows the location of your Internet Service Provider. The yellow pyramid shows the recommended or closest server to your location. Click on the yellow pyramid to test the speed of your Internet connection.
What’s my speed here in Shanghai? It fluctuates quite a bit, but right now, my connection is 1480 kb/s.
You can compare your Internet speed with past results, your ISP average, and the rest of the world.
As you can see, my connection is quite slow compared to the Shanghai average, China average, Asia average, and global average.
